Dynamic electrical and mechanical properties of epoxy/silver nanowires composites

The aim of this work is to study electrically conductive composites from an epoxy matrix loaded with silver nanowires (AgNWs). Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and dynamic dielectric spectroscopy (DDS) were used the molecular mobility its epoxy/AgNWs composites. influence epoxy/amine ratio on macroscopic properties was analyzed. loss modulus highlights two major relaxations, . relaxation due localized initiated by hydroxyl groups. trelaxation anelastic effect liberated at glass transition. introduction a small amount AgNWs (<8 vol%) has practically no glassy state. For rubbery state, cause increase in storage as function filler content. profile modified: heterogeneities 3D network observed independently hydration level magnitude mode increased stick–slip phenomenon. Moreover, it shifted toward lower temperatures upon AgNWs. In other words, activation enthalpy decreases for both modes. Electrical through DDS conductivity measurement shows consequence relative degree conversion caused insertion Epoxy/AgNWs allow us obtain one highest values electrical polymer-based without any drastic evolution properties.
